Voices of Impact – Public Speaking Series 2025
Organized by UDZ International Institute (UDZII)
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia | June 2025
Introduction
The Voices of Impact – Public Speaking Series 2025 was a transformative three-part program organized by the UDZ International Institute (UDZII). Held virtually via Google Meet on June 14, 21, and 28, the series brought together global voices, communication experts, and aspiring speakers from across regions. The core objective of the series was to empower individuals with practical tools and powerful mindsets to become confident communicators and purposeful leaders in both personal and professional settings.

Program Structure & Themes
The series featured three dynamic sessions, each led by a distinguished speaker with extensive experience in communication, leadership, and public engagement.
Session One took place on 14 June 2025, featuring Pastor Francis Forbes, CEO & Trainer at The Forbes Academy, with the theme “From Fear to Confidence.” This session focused on helping participants overcome fear and anxiety related to public speaking by sharing actionable strategies, personal stories, and mindset tools. It set the tone for the entire series by laying a strong foundation of emotional readiness and self-belief.
Session Two, held on 21 June 2025, was led by Malizah Isa, an education and ESP specialist with over 20 years of experience. Her session, “Using Your Voice to Lead,” emphasized how leadership is not measured by volume but by clarity of purpose and authenticity. Participants were guided on how to project their values through their voice and how to speak with confidence in leadership contexts.
The Final Session, conducted on 28 June 2025, featured the internationally acclaimed keynote speaker Mas Mahathir Mohamad, who delivered a compelling session titled “Using Your Voice to Lead (Techniques).” As the World No. 3 Winner in the 2022 World Championship of Public Speaking, Mas Mahathir brought global expertise and practical techniques on voice control, impromptu speaking, audience engagement, and stage presence. His session was one of the most anticipated and received overwhelmingly positive feedback.
Participation & Impact
The series attracted over 100 participants from various backgrounds, including students, educators, youth leaders, and young professionals. Participants joined from across Africa, Asia, and the Middle East, making it a truly global learning platform.
Each session encouraged live Q&A interaction, reflection exercises, and community discussion. The format not only delivered content but fostered personal transformation. As a result, attendees reported increased self-confidence, improved delivery, and a deeper understanding of how voice can be a powerful leadership tool.
Participants who attended all three sessions were awarded official Certificates of Participation issued by UDZII, recognizing their commitment to continuous learning and communication excellence.
Key Highlights
Among the many valuable insights shared during the series, two standout quotes from Mas Mahathir Mohamad resonated deeply:
“Public speaking is all about knowing how to handle impromptu.”
“By sharing your ‘why,’ you give people proof and help them understand the purpose behind your message.”
These statements captured the essence of the series — to help individuals lead not just with their ideas, but with intention and presence.
Achievements & Strengths

Next Steps
Based on the strong feedback and meaningful impact, UDZII will begin preparations for future public speaking programs and communication training. This may include:
- A new series under the theme “Leadership Through Voice”
- In-person workshops and speaking camps in Somalia and Malaysia
- A follow-up platform for Voices of Impact alumni and supporters
