My name is ๐ ๐ผ๐ต๐ฎ๐บ๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐๐ฎ๐บ๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ ๐๐ฎ๐บ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฎ, an 18-year-old student from Guinea, West Africa. Education has always been at the heart of my life, even though my background meant the journey was never easy. I dreamed of studying abroad, and when the opportunity came to join Albukhary International University in Malaysia, I knew English and especially the IELTS exam would be the key that opened the door.
2025, carrying a mixture of excitement and fear. Just over a month later, on the 16th of February, I began my classes at the university. Yet, in the back of my mind, I always knew IELTS was waiting for me. It felt like a mountain I had to climb before I could fully settle into my academic life. Finally, on the 9th of September, I sat for the test, but the journey to get there was one of the hardest challenges I had ever faced.
Back home in Guinea, English had never been my strongest subject. But I treated it like muscle training: something that required daily effort. I watched English movies and videos, sometimes without subtitles, just to train my ears. I read articles, short stories, and even social media posts in English to build my vocabulary. Every day I wrote small paragraphs, no matter how simple, and I often spoke to myself in English, recording my voice and correcting mistakes. It was slow, often frustrating work, but little by little, I grew stronger.
When I began preparing for IELTS itself, I quickly realized it was different from casual practice. The listening test was fast, the accents were challenging, and missing a single second could mean missing an answer. Reading passages felt endless, full of academic words that made me panic as the clock ticked down. Speaking required me to think quickly and sound confident, even when my voice shook inside. Writing seemed like an endless struggle of time, structure, and vocabulary. Many times, I felt I might fail.
That is when UDZ International Institute became a turning point in my journey. Their guidance and training gave me the structure I needed. With their support, I learned strategies for each part of the test. They helped me improve my listening focus, taught me how to approach reading passages with confidence, and guided me through speaking practice that reduced my fear. For writing, their feedback showed me how to organize my ideas and manage time effectively. UDZII International not only trained me but also motivated me to stay consistent when I felt tired or discouraged.
On the morning of the exam, I felt like an athlete stepping into a race. Nervous but ready, I reminded myself of all the hours of practice that had brought me here. When the results came back, I could hardly believe them:
This achievement was more than a number on a paper. It was proof that discipline can overcome fear, and that consistency can transform weakness into strength. My IELTS journey taught me that learning is like building muscles: painful at first, but with daily training, growth is inevitable.
Today, as I continue my studies, I carry with me not just the IELTS certificate, but also the life lesson that no matter where you come from, with determination and patience, you can achieve more than you imagine. And whenever I feel doubt again, I remember my fatherโs words that guided me through: โNever put off until tomorrow what you can do today.โ
